Member Services / Market Access

Closer connections.
Clearer trade.

01 / People & roles

People first.
Records connect the story.

A useful supply relationship brings together people, clear information and agreed responsibilities. UNLP’s registry-first approach puts those foundations at the centre of market access.

Origin & supply

Producers and breeders

Identity, origin and livestock records help explain what you can supply, where and when.

Trade & connections

Dealers and marketers

Clear descriptions, quantities or weights, timing and terms support buying and selling.

Specifications & receiving

Butchers and processors

Origin, accepted weights and intake requirements explain the evidence needed at arrival.

Movement & handover

Transporters and distributors

Origin, destination, custody and delivery records connect the people sending and receiving goods.

MACBAN, NACDPAMN and AUFCDN bring association relationships across production, trade, processing and distribution into UNLP. Roles overlap; a member or business may work in more than one part of the chain, and local context matters.

02 / Prepare for trade

Useful information.
Better conversations.

Prepare the details a potential supply or trade partner needs to understand. Keep the date and source attached: a past price or an estimated quantity is context, not a promise about the next trade.

What is the supply?
Livestock or product, quantity and specifications. Say whether a weight is estimated or measured, and when it was recorded.
Where and when?
Broad producing or market area, destination, timing and any collection, storage or transport needs.

Keep the context attached
  1. 1Supply description
  2. 2Dated evidence
  3. 3Agreed terms
A description becomes more useful when its date, source and terms travel with it.
Receiving requirements

What does the buyer need?

Clarify quantity, quality, delivery window and receiving conditions before discussing a commitment.

Commercial agreement

What remains to be agreed?

The parties agree price basis, payment terms, transport responsibilities and acceptance arrangements for the actual trade.

03 / Follow the handover

Carry the information.
Clarify responsibility.

Collection, transport, storage and receiving requirements need to fit the supply relationship. Follow the handover: what is moving, who is responsible and what evidence does the next person need?

Origin & collection
Describe the supply, quantity, condition and who takes custody.
Transport & receiving
Confirm movement responsibilities, receiving requirements and acceptance terms.
Movement & responsibility
  1. 1Origin & collection
  2. 2Custody & transport
  3. 3Receiving & acceptance
At each handover, clarify the goods, responsibility and receiving evidence.

Confirm the responsible provider or authority.

Transport and trade agreements define responsibilities. Permits, inspection, market rules and shipment requirements depend on the activity and responsible authorities. Association representation can help frame a trade question.

about supply.

Are you a producer, dealer, processor, retailer, logistics provider or other trade partner? Contact UNLP to discuss a supply relationship or a market-access question.

  • Tell us your role or organisation.
  • Name the state or broad market area.
  • Explain your supply, procurement or movement question.

An enquiry does not place an order or create a purchase commitment.

Your questions, answered.

Can I buy or sell livestock on this page?

This page explains UNLP’s market-access approach and provides a way to discuss supply and trade. It does not accept listings, orders or payments.

Does UNLP guarantee a buyer or a price?

No. A supply connection is a starting point for discussion. Buyers and sellers agree prices, quantities, quality, delivery and other terms for the actual trade.

Does registration give me an offtake agreement?

No. A member record and an offtake agreement are separate. An offtake agreement is a commercial agreement between the relevant parties, with its own terms and responsibilities.

What information should I prepare?

Start with your role, broad location, the livestock or product involved and the kind of connection you need. Quantity, timing, specifications and movement requirements can help explain the enquiry. Keep sensitive records out of your first email.

Are estimated weights the same as certified measurements?

No. An estimate and a certified measurement are different kinds of evidence. Make the source and basis of a weight clear, and confirm what evidence the parties require before relying on it in a trade.

Can UNLP arrange transport or export clearance through this page?

This page does not book transport or issue clearance. You can discuss a movement or supply question by email. Any service, contract or approval must be confirmed with the responsible provider or authority.

Does a member record guarantee finance?

No. Records can help a provider understand an activity, but financial-service providers decide eligibility and product terms. Registration is not a loan approval or insurance policy.

Where should I begin if I need association guidance?

Read the member information on your association’s page or find guidance and contacts. The public Registry overview explains how identity, membership and records fit together.
