01 / Understand the need

Begin with the work.
Explain what you need.

Different activities create different financial needs. Useful records give a provider context for assessment; each product has its own availability, eligibility and terms.

Start with the activity
Explain what you produce, purchase, trade or deliver.
Ask about the arrangement
Confirm the provider, availability and information needed before deciding whether to pursue a product.
Match the need to the conversation
  1. 1Production & trade
  2. 2Protection & payments
  3. 3Provider & product terms
Illustrative needs, not a list of available financial products.
Production

Inputs & animal growth

Feed, animal health and veterinary care shape input and fattening-finance needs. Identity, livestock records and supply relationships can explain the activity.

Trade

Working capital

Purchase, inventory and trading records help a lender understand the business and the capital needed before a sale produces income.

Protection

Insurance

Relevant records can inform a conversation about weather, animal health and disruption. Licensed insurers determine cover, eligibility, premiums and claims terms.

Payments

Clear transaction records

Keep agreed terms, payment evidence and follow-up information connected. Licensed payment providers handle funds movement.

02 / Build the record

A stronger record
of your business.

Your work creates valuable information: the animals you manage, inputs you purchase, livestock you trade and deliveries you complete. Consistent records describe that activity more clearly.

With the relevant permissions, evidence can help an institution understand the business behind an enquiry.

For financial institutions

Connect with
the livestock economy.

UNLP welcomes discussions with banks, microfinance institutions, insurers and payment providers about member needs, useful records and responsible service pathways.

Topics include inputs and fattening finance, dealer inventory and working capital, livestock and weather-related protection, payments and reconciliation—with clear permissions and provider assessment responsibilities.

Discuss a financial partnership
Start a conversation

Connect your needs
to a clearer conversation.

Ask about financial-access pathways or an institutional partnership. Briefly describe your role, state and the topic you want to discuss. An enquiry is not a financial application.

Your questions, answered.

Does membership guarantee a loan or insurance cover?

No. Each financial provider assesses eligibility and determines the terms of its products.

Does UNLP make lending or insurance decisions?

Lending decisions belong to the financial institution providing the credit. Insurance terms and claims decisions belong to the insurer. UNLP’s role is to create pathways between members, useful records and the institutions that serve them.

Do I have to take a financial product?

No. Participation is your choice. Membership does not require you to borrow, purchase insurance or accept a particular provider.

Is my livestock record a guarantee of finance?

No. A reliable livestock or trading record can support assessment, but it does not by itself establish collateral or guarantee approval.

Can I apply or make a payment here?

No. This page provides information and enquiry links. It does not take financial applications, run credit checks or move funds.

How do I find out which services apply to me?

Email UNLP with a general description of your location, role and needs. Ask about the provider and the applicable arrangements. Availability and eligibility depend on the relevant provider and product; keep bank details and sensitive documents out of your first message.
